From the day the Grant Contract is signed to years after the project ends — here is the whole journey in one place, and where in the Manual to find the detail.

From signature to sustainability

Every section of this Manual has its place on this timeline — use it as a map of the whole project journey.

Day 0

Grant Contract signed

The starting point for everything — nine annexes (I–IX) define responsibilities, budget, procurement rules and reporting obligations.

First month

Project start-up

Team nominated, Partnership Agreement signed, budget allocated, Procurement & Visibility Plans drafted, Sustainability Declaration signed.

Implementation loop

These run in parallel for the whole duration of the project — with the JTS supporting all of them.

Monitoring visit & Interim report

JTS monitoring visit assesses progress; Interim narrative + financial report submitted, triggering further pre-financing.

Final report & final check

Final narrative + financial report submitted; at least one on-the-spot check is obligatory before the final balance is paid.

≤ 18 months after

Contract closure

Execution period ends once the balance is paid — at the latest 18 months after the end of the implementation period.

3–5 years after project end

Sustainability period

Continued use, maintenance and visibility of results and assets — monitored through dedicated on-the-spot checks by the Managing Authority.

Minor or major amendments can be requested at any stage of implementation — always consult the JTS first.

Spotted a problem?

Irregularities and fraud signals can — and should — be reported at any time, including anonymously.
