Six new projects bringing Serbia and North Macedonia closer

Six new projects have been awarded grants under the 1st Call for Proposals of the Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Serbia–North Macedonia 2021–2027, with the financial support of the European Union. From tourism and cultural and natural heritage to social and cultural inclusion, youth empowerment, environmental protection and sustainable local development, the new projects reflect the diversity of the cross-border region and the importance of working together to create opportunities for people and communities on both sides of the border.

The projects will turn cooperation into concrete activities on the ground, from developing new tourism experiences and connecting cultural and natural heritage, to strengthening social services, empowering young people and creating new opportunities for local communities.

Grant Contracts Awarded – 1st Call for Proposals

Six projects. Two countries. Shared opportunities.

The 1st Call for Proposals has resulted in a new portfolio of joint initiatives designed to strengthen connections between Serbia and North Macedonia and contribute to the sustainable development of the cross-border area.

Each project brings together partners from the two countries and has its own story, ideas and ambitions. Together, however, they share one goal: to make cross-border cooperation visible through results that people and communities can experience.

Over the coming months, we will introduce the six projects individually, highlighting the partners behind them, the places where they will be implemented and, most importantly, what they will bring to the cross-border region.
