Getting projects off to a strong start! 🚀

On 24-25 September 2026, representatives of project beneficiaries were invited to the Project Implementation Workshop. Held at the Ministry of Finance in Belgrade, the workshop brought together representatives of all six projects awarded grants under the 1st Call for Proposals.

The workshop featured contributions from representatives of the Contracting Authority (CFCU), the Ministry of European Integration of Serbia and the Ministry of Local Self-Government of North Macedonia as well as the Joint Technical Secretariat (JTS).

It was organized under the 1st Call for Proposals of the IPA III Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Serbia–North Macedonia 2021–2027. It marked an important step as newly awarded projects move from planning into implementation.

Turning project plans into action

The Project Implementation Workshop provided an opportunity to meet, exchange information and discuss the practical aspects of implementing grant contracts.

Over two days, participants explored the key steps and requirements for successful project implementation. Topics included setting up project teams, project management, financial management, reporting, monitoring, visibility and secondary procurement.

In addition, there was plenty of room for questions and practical discussion. This helped project teams clarify implementation requirements and prepare for the next stages of their projects.

Looking ahead

With the workshop completed, the new projects are ready to enter the next stage of their journey. We look forward to working with all project teams and supporting them as they turn their ideas into concrete results and stronger cooperation across the Serbia–North Macedonia border.

The projects are underway — and we are excited to follow their progress! 🚀
