Project results

The project aimed to develop nature-based sustainable tourism in the cross-border region, delivering long-term benefits for residents, wildlife, and the natural environment. This goal was achieved by building capacities to initiate and manage an alternative, nature-friendly tourism product – wildlife photography tours – and introducing a new joint tourism product to the market.

  • A capacity study for the cross-border region was completed.

  • Following the study, four partner organizations and two expert organizations developed a joint plan and two new tourism products – wildlife photography tours in both countries.

  • Infrastructure was upgraded with eight observation posts and photo cabins, shelters, and wildlife feeding stations.

  • Two wildlife photography tours were organized, with 65 participants.

  • The project was promoted through four campaigns reaching 268 people.

  • Information about the tourism product and its potential reached over 30,000 individuals through social media, partner websites, and similar channels.
